01
The closure notice takes priority
The developer announced the change on August 20. That later official notice supersedes older promotional invitations to play. The main game's Steam application is now the documented Early Access release. Historical Demo availability should not be described as current availability.
02
Older footage still has a limited role
The research includes a May official Demo trailer and an August Demo recording. They document earlier versions rather than today's access conditions. A video's upload date may also differ from its recording date. Such footage can illustrate history without proving current mechanics or download status.
03
What remains untested
The official notice notes substantial quality-of-life and gameplay differences between Demo and Early Access. The research did not test retained installations offline or establish a save-migration guarantee. Those questions cannot be answered by the old trailer. Offline behavior and migration compatibility remain 待确认.
04
Demo Download
Old Demo download links do not establish a playable current version. The official notice states that the Demo stopped being playable on August 27, 2026.
No claim about retained packages
The research did not install a preserved Demo package or verify offline startup. It also did not establish an official migration guarantee for its saves. Those are separate technical questions from whether an old link exists. Retained-package behavior and save transfer remain 待确认.
05
Beta
No currently open game Beta application was established by the research. Historical Alpha tests, the current Early Access release and planned Mod Support Beta are different things.
Do not confuse the mod beta
The roadmap names Mod Support Beta in a future update. That refers to planned mod support, not a new public Beta for the whole game. It cannot supply player-testing eligibility or an access date. The current main store page instead describes Early Access.
What is still missing
No active Beta recruitment announcement or current eligibility rules were found. The research also did not verify an invitation or test key. Those gaps leave the current application procedure unconfirmed. Current Beta timing and access remain 待确认.
06
Playtest
The collected Playtest announcements describe past windows, not a currently verified open test. The main Steam release is now Early Access.
Known historical access
The second Alpha announcement covers a September 2025 test. A later July 2026 announcement describes a third supporters test with limited selection from access requests. Those official records explain past participation. They do not prove that Request Access still enrolls players today.
Current applications remain unconfirmed
No new active test window or current selection requirements were established. The existing Early Access store page should not be relabeled as a Playtest signup. The research also did not verify individual invitations. Current test dates, eligibility and access procedures remain 待确认.
07
Playtest Review
Playtest reviews describe older builds and cannot establish the current game's completion or performance. The developer explicitly notes differences between the old Demo and Early Access.
Later tests changed the comparison
The official July test list includes additions and content scope beyond the March footage. This shows why the earlier review cannot cover every later feature. It does not prove that every old criticism has been fixed. A proper comparison would need a matching later review or explicit patch evidence.
What this page cannot score
The research did not obtain a same-author reevaluation of all concerns in v0.4.17. It also lacks matched hardware performance tests. The old reviews therefore do not support a current performance rating. Current performance conclusions and unresolved old concerns remain 待确认.
08
Prologue
Dungeon Settlers: Prologue is a separate Steam application. The collected official API reports To Be Announced, while an older third-party date does not establish current release availability.
Keep the application identities separate
The official API identifies Prologue as CanOpener's application 4552500. The main game is application 2798330. These identities should not be merged simply because the names overlap. A main-game purchase or release announcement cannot automatically describe Prologue.
The date conflict
The API snapshot reports coming soon, and SteamDB also records a prerelease state. A price-history site instead lists an older April date without supporting historical price data. The official snapshot supports the current unannounced status, but does not explain every historical listing. That earlier availability question remains 待确认.
A video title does not settle access
One collected video uses Prologue in its title but lacks a verified matching application identity in the available text. Its title alone cannot establish the opening date. An API free-status field also does not prove a publicly launchable build. Current startup access and the relationship to the old Demo remain 待确认.
